Transferee Investigations Constables

Do you have the passion and desire to keep people safe from harm? Are you looking for a role that will help support the communities of Gloucestershire by adding value to the service we provide to the public? If so, please consider transferring to Gloucestershire Constabulary.

We are keen to hear from qualified Constables with experience in desktop and reactive investigation who will add value to our organisation and support our values and intent.

We are looking for Constables to work within our Investigations Hub which comprises of the Desktop Investigation Team (DIT) and the Reactive Investigation Team (RIT) which is a new function within the Crime Management and Investigations Standards Department (CMIS). We are seeking officers who take a collegiate approach, work as a team and make robust decisions based on the application of THRIVE.

The Investigation Hub works alongside our existing teams in CMIS (CSB, Closure Team and Quality and Development) to enhance how we investigate crimes – and, as importantly, how we can continue to increase our positive outcome rate

The DIT pursue active lines of enquiry using all available systems and securing evidence by phone, email or other electronic means.

The RIT seek resolutions to allocated crime investigations which will include out of court disposals where appropriate. Officers have close working relationships with our Neighbourhood and Response colleagues as well as external partners to progress and resolve investigations, including daily processing of detainees.

The DIT and the RIT are uniformed investigation roles working out of Wheatstone House, Quedgeley. The RIT and DIT work early and late shifts ( 7 days a week) between 7am and 11pm.

We are committed to the wellbeing and development of our staff so that together we can deliver the very best service to victims and our communities.

Part-time and flexible working options are available.

Officers serving with the Ministry of Defence or another non Home Office Force such as Royal Parks, Civil Nuclear Constabulary, Ports of Dover, Liverpool and Bristol which are not classed as police forces under the Police Act 1996 so unfortunately you are not eligible to apply to transfer.
