Protecting Vulnerable People - Detective Constable

Whether you are looking for the next step in your policing career, or seeking to take your skills somewhere new, Lincolnshire Police could have the opportunity that you are looking for.

Now is the time to join the Lincolnshire Police family, as we are currently inviting applications from substantive Detective Constables to become part of our Protecting Vulnerable Persons Investigations Unit. This is an opportunity to join a forward thinking, modern police force who provide opportunities for career progression and development.

Specialist investigators are required to fulfil Lincolnshire Police’s commitment to protect and safeguard the vulnerable and pursue offenders through the criminal justice process within our investigation hubs. As a detective in the Protecting Vulnerable Persons (PVP) unit, you will be responsible for specialist PIP2 level investigations that include serious sexual offences, child abuse, neglect, child sexual exploitation, and offences involving vulnerable adults. You will work as part of a PVP team involved in investigation and detection of serious crime ensuring that harm is prevented, and you will seek to protect the most vulnerable from harm.

To be considered, you will be required to demonstrate that you are working towards or have achieved PIP2 accreditation and that you have passed the NIE.

To support officers interested in transferring to the East of the county, we are pleased to offer a Transferring Officer Relocation Expenses Package. This package allows you to claim expenses up to a value of £5,000 towards the costs of relocating to the East of Lincolnshire. Further details can be found on our Relocation Expenses Package page. Lincolnshire police will consider applications from persons who seek to apply on a part time or flexible working basis.
