EMSOU investigates some of the most serious crime regionally across the five East Midland Forces, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Northamptonshire.

Within the East Midlands region we recognise that the role of Surveillance Motorcyclist is one of the most dangerous within Law Enforcement. The role requires significant riding experience, combined with extensive training and development. Therefore, qualified Surveillance Motorcyclists will each receive a yearly bonus/retention & wellbeing payment of £2000 per annum. If an officer joins EMSOU part way through the year they will also receive the full payment.
