The principal responsibility of the Public Protection Unit (PPU) Intelligence Officer is to work in a multi-agency environment we ensure the protection of the public by the effective management of those sexual and violent offenders who pose the greatest risk of harm. Identifying those who potentially could cause harm who do not yet fall under any statutory obligations and informing relevant agencies to put measures in place to prevent this occurring.
