We are looking for someone to #JoinUs as a Submission & Support Assistant in the Joint Scientific Investigation Unit based at Headquarters, Bridgend. Could you be who we are looking for?

 

About the team/Department you will be joining:

You will be required to work in a multi-functional confidential high quality and comprehensive clerical and budgetary support to the Supervisor in order to help maximise the effective use of Forensic Science Administration duties by both South Wales and Gwent Police.

 

About the role and your key responsibilities:

You will be required to provide general administration duties which may include:

  • Word processing/keyboarding inputting
  • Formatting documents
  • Ordering
  • Mail collection and distribution.
  • Assistance with courier collections and deliveries- Receive, store and processes of existing exhibits to various required in house and external providers.
  • Daily contact with police officer enquiries
  • Daily contact with Forensic Service providers
  • Provide relevant information both face to face and/or electronic based on existing departmental procedures and processes.
  • Work in line with ISO 17025

 

What skills and experience do we need you to bring to the role:

Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft applications with a high standard of keyboard skills.

Previous office experience

Good standard of education to at least GCSE A-C Level including Maths and English

This role is suitable for part time

The successful Candidate must be willing to undergo vetting to MV/SC Vetting.
