Radio Supervisor

The principal responsibility of the Radio Supervisor is to provide supervision of radio operators within the Control Room environment as they complete the task of dispatching police resources and emergency call handling where appropriate. 
In particular to:
• Complete dip sampling on performance of emergency call handling and radio work. 
• Assist radio operators as necessary in the resourcing and management of urgent and critical incidents.
• Be responsible for log closures completing checks under NSIR guidelines. 
• Ensuring fault finding on radio networks and reporting where appropriate 


This list of duties is not restrictive or exhaustive and the post-holder may be required to carry out duties from time to time that are either commensurate with/or lower than the grade of the post. In some posts this might include the ad-hoc provision of guidance and informal training of new colleagues.
