Hours:  37 Per week (Full-Time) Office Based

Humberside Police are looking for an enthusiastic, driven individual with comprehensive administrative skills join our HR Advice and Guidance Team for 37 hours a week!

This is an exciting opportunity to deliver an outstanding service to our people within Humberside covering a broad range of events throughout the entire lifecycle of an employee’s career. The successful candidate will support employees through maternity, sickness absence management, organisational change and other HR processes. The role involves providing efficient and consistent high quality administrative support to all transactional HR processes, including updating employee records, maintaining HR database systems and ensuring accurate and proper record-keeping of employee information. You will be required to provide a professional first line response to providing advice and guidance on all HR enquiries, taking ownership of achieving a satisfactory resolution and escalating where appropriate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To ensure all work carried out enhances customer satisfaction and meets the requirements of all parties.
  • Provides high quality customer service, including interacting with managers and colleagues, answering queries effectively and signposting staff to resources and information as appropriate.
  • Assists the supervisor and senior professional staff with implementation of changes, working closely with customers and colleagues, promoting a positive customer focus and ‘can do’ culture within the department.
  • Drafts reports and other documents as required.
  • Works within generally defined guidelines but may be required to use judgement/discretion in dealing with non-routine matters for which there may not be a readily available precedent.

What the role requires:

  • Experience of working in a customer orientated field
  • Experience of working in a clerical field, incorporating record keeping, telephone work etc
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Computer literacy/keyboard skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision when required.
  • Previously worked in a highly confidential role
  • Carries out tasks in an accurate and methodical manner with an eye for detail.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritise workload.

Pre – Employment Checks and Eligibility:
