Investigation Support (Secondment/Fixed Term Contract)

Secondment/Fixed Term Contract for 9 Months

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Investigation Support Officer to join our Priority Crime Team based at St Aldates Police Station, Oxford.

In this role, you will support officers and staff with investigations into a range of serious offences including:

  • Burglary
  • Knife-enabled crime
  • Robbery
  • Stalking
  • Complex Crime series

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Interest in and commitment to developing an investigations career.
  • Sound administration skills and capable of effective workload management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A proactive and resilient approach to policing.
  • A commitment to delivering justice and supporting victims.

The successful candidate will be required to complete a three week course.

 This role will require an enhanced level of vetting.

Important: All secondments must be supported in writing by your Line Manager and Head of Department/Commander or Deputy. Please attach written approval from your line manager and Head of Department in your application. If the secondment is not supported then the role may be offered on a fixed term contract basis, but this has implications including loss of continuous service protections.

Please note: Shift allowance, on-call or other job related allowances from the previous role will not be protected unless they are attached to the new role for the duration of the secondment.
