Catering Assistant

Leicestershire Police are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and hardworking Catering Assistant to work in their Canteen based at Force Headquarters, Leicester on a fixed term basis for 12 months to cover maternity leave.
You’ll be working 31 hours per week, Monday-Friday, between the hours of 07:33–14:12, with some occasional weekend working available for which overtime rates are paid. The working day is 6 hours 12 minutes with a 30 minute unpaid break. Please note: starting and finishing times may vary slightly in advance due to business demands.
What you’ll be doing
- Providing support in the preparation, cooking and service of food and beverages, plus other related catering duties such as the delivery of buffets and beverages to areas across Force Headquarters.
- Preparing the service area, hot cupboard and other equipment in the dining centre and be responsible for maintaining up to date records and general cleaning duties.

For part time hours the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, this is based on the number of hours for the vacancy.
