Intelligence Analyst

Use your analytical skills to support our approach to crime and disorder

As Intelligence Analyst for Derbyshire Constabulary, you will conduct research and analysis to identify and support risk and threat priorities and inform and influence operational and investigative decision making.

What you’ll be doing

  • Provide accurate analysis to support complex, large-scale investigations
  • Meet with the Crown Prosecution Service to discuss their requirements and make recommendations
  • Give structured and detailed briefings to investigating officers

The must haves

  • Educated to degree level or have significant analytical experience
  • High levels of innovation, creativity and flexibility in approach
  • Ability to communicate confidently at all levels in one to one and group discussions

Things to note

The role is hybrid, with an expectation of spending at least 50% of the time in the office or with a team. During the first six months, more in-person time may be required for training purposes.

The primary office is located at Force Headquarters but Analysts are expected to work closely with teams across various locations. This may include assignments such as working in Chesterfield for several days a week during specific operations. The role also involves attending court as a witness, which may require travel at short notice.
