WORKING HOURS: average 18.5hrs Week 1- Thursday & Friday 0830-1700, Week 2 - Wednesday & Thursday 0830-1700 Friday 0830-1630

LOCATION- Headquarters, Northallerton

This is a new and exciting role which will undertake and oversee the day-to-day running of the exhibits store to ensure that seized property held within the store is managed in accordance with force policies and procedures.

You will lead a team of Exhibits Management support Officers and the provision of a comprehensive exhibits management service across a specified area to ensure that daily tasks are completed, routine audits are undertaken and documented; and that property retention and disposal routes are fully compliant with force procedures.

Your role as Exhibits Supervisor will involve ensuring your team provide a professional, customer focused streamlined exhibits management service. On a daily basis you and your team will receive, check, record, monitors and control exhibits coming into the possession of North Yorkshire Police.

As a Supervisor you will be responsible for developing the staff within the team and, where appropriate, addressing their individual development/performance needs.

 

To be successful in your application, you will have:

  • Good attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to undertake a significant amount of manual handling
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent people management skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Detailed knowledge of the functioning of an Exhibits Store.
  • Knowledge of the legislative provisions of the Police (Property) Act 1897, the Police (Property) Regulations 1997 and the Data Protection Act.
