Senior Procurement Officer
Role Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Gwent and South Wales Joint Commercial and Procurement Services for a Senior Procurement Officer.
The post-holder will benefit from flexible working policies, with a mixture of home working and working in Gwent Police HQ. Occasional travel to South Wales HQ, Bridgend may be required (mileage paid or pool car provided) and there is flexibility for the post holder to work occasionally in Bridgend. Primarily dealing with contracts relating to Victims and Custody Services, Professional/Corporate Services, Uniform, Joint Firearms Unit, Capital Projects and Police and Crime Commissioner Projects, the post-holder will lead and deliver complex and strategic local and collaborative procurement projects for South Wales Police and Gwent Police, including high value tenders and frameworks. You will work closely within a small team, having responsibility for your own procurement projects, guiding the client departments through the process from start to finish and also continue to contract manage those contracts following mobilisation.
This role is suitable for part time/job share workers.
