Contract: Permanent Part Time 18.5 Hours split over Tuesday – Friday (working days must include Tuesday, Thursday and Friday)
Salary: Scale 3-4 - £24,222 -£28,653 Pro-rata (subject to a Career Progression Plan)

About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity to join the Information Management Department as a Data Quality Assistant on a part-time basis.
As a Data Quality Assistant, you will provide high quality advice, support and data corrective services to the information held within our records management systems.
Key Responsibilities of a Data Quality Assistant:
- Regular evaluation of data quality and accuracy of information, reconciling information against other force or national systems for corrective work to be undertaken.
- Work with key stakeholders to identify possible causes of poor data quality and to resolve problems, taking remedial action where necessary to maintain the security and integrity of the data in accordance with statutory and legal requirements for all data handling.
- Deliver service in accordance with agreed standards as well as identifying and developing ongoing procedure and service improvements.
- Develop and maintain good knowledge of key procedures and processes whilst maintaining up to date knowledge of current and impending national changes in recording standards, escalating any impact on policies and procedures.
- Responsible for the production of accurate, relevant, and timely management information in partnership with colleagues.
- Responsible for developing and implementing key tools and learning, such as e-learning or quick reference guides, to improve processes and the service user experience.
- Respond to queries and provide advice, guidance or signposting to internal and external customers on system functionality, key procedures, and processes.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and key internal stakeholders, ensuring a common approach is adopted in relation to the standard of recording operational information in line with regulatory and legal requirements.
The role includes delivering coaching to colleagues across our estate, so there will be expectation for occasional travel to other locations in the North Yorkshire area.

To be successful in this role, you will:
· Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
· Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.
· Be comfortable with producing and presenting accurate data and information.
· Have excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate, build and maintain effective working relationships.
· Be a natural problem solver.
Experience of using Niche RMS and MS SharePoint would be beneficial, but not essential.
The successful postholder will be require MV level vetting clearance which will be undertaken at the point of the conditional offer.
