We are welcoming applications for the role of Dorset Road Safety Clerical Officer with Dorset Police based at the following location(s): East Weymouth Police Station (WE)
Salary: Scale C - Starts at £24,222 rising by yearly increments to a maximum of £25,626 per annum
Please note that the above salary is based on working 37 hours per week. If this role is part-time or you are appointed on a part-time basis your salary will be prorated to reflect this. Exceptions to starting salary may apply if you are an existing Devon & Cornwall or Dorset Police Staff employee substantively posted to a role at the same Scale.

Dorset Road Safety Clerical Officer
An opportunity has arisen to join our Police Road Safety Team where you will play a pivotal role in providing clerical support within the department.
Duties will include the processing of Notices of Intended Prosecution (NIPs) issued from Fixed, Mobile and Red Light camera offences captured on film/video, processing of Traffic Offence Reports (TORs) issued by Police Officers and Operation Snap. Responsibilities will also include facilitating the processing of Driver Awareness Scheme (DAS) and Safer Better Driving (SBD) courses, as well as the preparation of information for presentation at court and attendance in court as a witness when required.
This role will also involve dealing with incoming calls from members of the public as well as working closely with police staff colleagues and officers within the organisation. The post holder may also be asked to assist with the printing and scanning of documents in the post room within the Central Ticket Office
Administrative/clerical experience, to include the use of Microsoft Office applications is essential for the role, in addition to good customer service skills. The ability to work independently within the office environment and as part of a team is also key.

Selection Stage:
The selection for this role will consist of Shortlisting, Interview.

If successful, you will then be invited to an interview. This will be based on the essential criteria outlined within the job description. The interview process is due to take place week commencing 31 March 2025.
