Firearms Licensing Administrator

Play a vital role in responsible firearms licensing with Leicestershire Police.

The Local Policing Department is seeking to hire a full-time, temporary Firearms Licensing Administrator, based at Mansfield House on a 12 month fixed term basis. In the role, you will have clerical and administrative responsibility for all aspects of the licensing of firearms, shotguns and explosives and associated activities.

Key Responsibilities

Process applicants for the grant and renewal of firearm, shotgun and explosives certificates.
Respond to enquiries by telephone, email and in person from Police Officers, Staff and members of the public.
Issue certificates and permits, maintaining records as appropriate.

The must haves

GCSE grade C/4 (minimum) in English Language, or have equivalent experience working to this level.
Experience in an administrative environment.
Excellent communication skills, providing high-quality service to customers.
