Who we are

Counter Terrorism Policing is a collaboration of UK police forces working with security and intelligence agencies to help keep people safe and our national security by preventing, deterring and investigating terrorist activity. We do this by partnering locally and globally - from neighbourhood policing teams supported by a national network of specialists to our investigators and expert advisors in every corner of the world.

At the centre of the network sits the Counter Terrorism Policing Headquarters (CTPHQ), which devises policy and strategy; coordinates national projects and programmes; and advises the government on Counter Terrorism issues.
