Drug Store Administration

The Role

To be responsible for the recording, storing, continuity and the co-ordination of the disposal of drugs in line with force policy.

What You’ll Do

To maintain continuity through computer and paper records of all work submitted to and dispatched from the Central Drug Store.

To carry out agreed procedures with regard to the operation of the seizure, retention and disposal of all drugs.

To liaise with Officers, Area Drug SPOCs and Courts to efficiently manage the retention and disposal of drugs.

To ensure that appropriate items are available for production as Court exhibits when necessary, liaising with Criminal Justice Units, for Court schedules and Officers, as required.

To ensure that appropriate items are available for collection by the Submissions unit for forwarding to Forensic Service Providers.

To ensure day to day Health and Safety Procedures are adhered to.

To assist in the delivery of duties within Submissions as and when necessary.

To attend work related training courses as required.

To carry out routine audits of the exhibits held within the Central Drug Store.
