Job Title: Operational Engineering Co-Ordinator & Supervisor (Operational Support Unit)
Salary: The starting salary is £55,662, which includes allowances totalling £3,009
The salary is broken down as £52,653 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £57,417. Plus, a location allowance of £2,009 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.

As Operational Engineering Co Ordinator, you’ll play a crucial part in protecting London. You’ll be part of our talented, tight-knit team, helping to deploy surveillance solutions for frontline policing operations.
Working within a team of around 10, your work will include planning and co ordinating the deployment of temporary CCTV systems and equipment, resource and engineering personnel. The role is hands-on and you’ll need an appropriate qualification or suitable experience in a technical engineering field. Experience in electrical installation, testing, inspection together with knowledge of public space CCTV and street furniture are all great skills that will put you ahead in this role. Above all, you’ll need a great aptitude for solving problems, enjoy working in a team and have an appetite for further training and development.
The role can take you across London so a full UK driving licence is essential for this role, with a willingness to undertake C1 driver category training. You may sometimes be working outside office hours, so you’ll need to be flexible. And while this is an exciting role, your discretion is vital – which includes having or applying for MV/SC security level clearance. This is a supervisory role and leadership experience will be beneficial.

This post requires access to the most sensitive intelligence material on a daily basis. Applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo National Security Vetting (NSV) Security Check (enhanced) (SC(e)) level before taking up the post.
