Lead Service Improvement Analyst and Advisor (Secondment/Fixed Term Contract)

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead an exciting programme of analytical and advisory work that enhances how the Force prevents, responds to and safeguards in cases of Domestic Abuse (DA), Stalking and Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG), and optimises the effectiveness of Multi-Agency Risk Conferences (MARAC).
Holding a specialist portfolio, tasked with identifying, delivering and evaluating Force‑wide improvements in efficiency and effectiveness, as well as risk and demand management; the successful candidate will directly influence how we protect victims, reduce harm and improve outcomes in DA, Stalking and VAWG. This work will directly inform senior decision‑making and tangible operational change, leading to real improvements for victims and enhanced public protection through improved perpetrator management.
This role combines analytical expertise with digital innovation and creative problem solving to enhance operational efficiency, streamline workflows, and support strategic priorities. The post holder will work with stakeholders across departments, including a dedicated technical developer, to identify, design, and implement long term digital and process solutions that improve performance, reduce demand, and deliver measurable benefits through supporting perpetrator identification / management and safeguarding functions with particular regard to Multi-Agency Tasking and Coordination (MATAC) and MARAC. This work is likely to involve the use of Power BI and/or Agentic AI, so previous experience with regard to either development or collaboration in the development of these tools would be useful.
Owing to the importance of effective partnership working in these areas, this work will have high visibility inside and outside the organisation, including public‑facing elements. The post holder will also be required to work closely with our Service Improvement Team, the professional leads for RASSO, VAWG, DA and Stalking.
Owing to the fixed term nature of the role and ambitious delivery targets previous knowledge and experience of police systems may be advantageous, as would potential availability for a start date prior to 1st April 2026.

If the secondment is not supported then the role may be offered on a fixed term contract basis, but this has implications including loss of continuous service protections.
Please note: Shift allowance, on-call or other job related allowances from the previous role will not be protected unless they are attached to the new role for the duration of the secondment.
