Job description

Business analysts work across the College of Policing and its internal and external stakeholders to undertake a full range of business analysis activity. This includes understanding business needs and background context, developing feasibility studies, eliciting requirements, undertaking business modelling, leading stakeholder management, and supporting with business acceptance and implementation. Ultimately ensuring that the end users receive the most appropriate digital solution. The role will work on a variety of projects from small scale quick wins to large, budgeted projects that follow a strategic roadmap to support business change and improvement over mid and long-term period.

Person specification

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the business analysis for complex digital requests and deliver fit‑for‑purpose solutions that meet user needs
  • Bring together stakeholders to set priorities, influence change and realise measurable business improvements and cost savings
  • Run discovery and commissioning activities, including situation investigation, request screening and presenting findings to the Commissioning Board

To be successful in this role you’ll need:

  • Strong business analysis skills, including the ability to investigate complex problems, analyse options and define clear, evidence‑based requirements
  • The ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders, communicate clearly and influence decisions to support effective business change
  • Experience working in agile, digital or technology‑enabled environments, using appropriate tools and techniques to support planning, analysis and delivery
