PC’s and DC’s in the Domestic Abuse Investigation Unit WEST

Vacancies for PC’s and DC’s in the Domestic Abuse Investigation Unit WEST

Expressions of interest are sought for DC/PC vacancies within the Domestic Abuse Investigation Unit (DAIU) on the WEST.

The new DAIU model was launched at the beginning of the year and saw an increase in Officer numbers and the introduction of the Proactive Team. The team has been working extremely hard to secure some rewarding and lengthy sentences for victims across the county.

To continue this great work, we still require several officers to join our team on the WEST at CJC.

Officers within the DAIU investigation team are in receipt of £2000 yearly Critical skills payment.

In addition to this, as announced by the DCC on his vlog, those currently working within DAIU West and any successful applicants will receive a further £1600 for one year. This will be paid monthly with the Critical skills payment.

Further to this, due to the urgent need to fill these vacancies, anyone wishing to apply will not be subject to tenure within their current role.

Applications are also accepted from those within the last three months of their initial probationary period, any applicant within their initial probationary period will be required to have their portfolio signed off prior to moving into the department.

Applicants are required to complete an expression of interest only via this system.

For more information or to discuss the role further, please contact DCI Beth Warren or one of the DAIU Inspectors – DI Wayne Preece or DI Claire Harvey.

Closing date for applications is 30th December 2025.
