West Yorkshire Police is seeking detail-oriented HR Assistants to support its Resourcing and Workforce Planning team. You will contribute to the efficient delivery of recruitment and onboarding processes, helping ensure timely appointments and accurate record-keeping.
As a HR Assistant (Resourcing) you will:
• Play a vital role in supporting the end-to-end recruitment process
• Act as the first point of contact for calls and visitors, ensuring a professional and efficient service.
• Build a good rapport with candidates, providing them with regular updates and ensuring any outstanding documentation is chased to prevent delays.
• Support the onboarding processes for new appointments by managing correspondence and facilitating communication between departments such as Occupational Health and Vetting, which support our onboarding checks.
• Maintain and update HR records/systems that contribute to the smooth operation of the Resourcing and workforce Planning function.
Your training plan:
As part of your on-the-job training you will complete a nationally recognised qualification in the workplace alongside earning a wage. During your working week you will be supported to complete the Level 3 Recruitment Apprenticeship (which is equivalent to A-levels) and will have dedicated time away from your normal duties to complete a portfolio of evidence showcasing your progression before your End Point Assessment.

Eligibility:
To be successful, you will have a basic understanding of office systems and procedures, be proficient in the use of Microsoft office packages, and have the ability to deliver excellent customer service.
No formal qualifications are required to apply; however, if you are aged between 16-18 years, you will be required to achieve Level 2 functional skills in Maths and English, unless you can evidence these qualifications. As part of the assessment process, you will be required to successfully complete an exercise to assess your basic Maths and English skills.
