The People & Development Branch are looking for a Coordinator to carry out assessment/verification of candidates on accredited programmes in accordance with the Awarding Body, College of Policing and organisational needs.

The following qualifications are essential to the role:

• D32/33, A1 or TAQA (Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement)
• D34, V1 or TAQA (Level 4 Award in Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice).
"Ex Police Inspectors, or experienced individuals who are "Working Towards" an IQA qualification are encouraged to apply"

The successful candidate will have experience as an Assessor and Internal Verifier (Internal Quality Assurer)  demonstrating a working knowledge of assessment and verification procedures and quality assurance systems.

Your role will entail assessing and verifying the work of candidates undertaking qualifications. You will maintain accurate records of assessment as required by the awarding body, ensuring the day-to-day administration of these processes are effectively and efficiently maintained.

Your duties are to offer resilience and deliver adequate support to colleagues to ensure successful implementation, continuity and resilience of assessed/verified and accredited programmes in the workplace across the Force.

You may be required to assess and verify the achievement of candidates working toward assessor/verifier status (TAQA). You will support them to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills, ensuring adequate induction and on-going coaching/mentoring is provided, as required.

As an internal verifier you will deliver presentations and workshops and provide feedback, guidance and best practice suggestions. You will highlight issues, relating to assessor/verifier to candidate ratios, reporting any serious concerns and poor candidate progress to the Lead Verifier.
