Training School Role-Play Volunteers

Positions available: 30

Location: Learning and Organisational Development Centre, Carr Gate, Wakefield, WF2 0QD

Are you looking for a new volunteering challenge for 2026?

West Yorkshire Police is seeking volunteers to join a pool of up to 30 role players to help provide a realistic training experience for student officers during role play days.

Volunteers will take part in scenarios set by class trainers. These scenarios may include portraying a victim of burglary or an intoxicated person causing a nuisance. This allows student officers to practise responding to a wide range of situations they may encounter in real life, within the safe environment of our training school.

All role play sessions take place at our Training and Development Centre in Wakefield. Volunteers will need to travel to the site. On site parking is available, and the centre is also accessible via several bus routes.

Expenses/mileage is paid so you will not be out of pocket for giving up your time.

If you would like any further information on this vacancy then please contact specialsandvolunteers@westyorkshire.police.uk
