About The Role
One of our Chief Superintendents is retiring so we are looking for the next leader to step up or across to complement our brilliant team.
Please note, we are recruiting to the rank of Chief Supt, not to a specific role. We have three Chief Supt posts in our county all of whom are expected to be able to balance operational command management, performance delivery, and various portfolio responsibilities with cultural competence.

You will be expected as a Chief Supt to gain and maintain qualifications to contribute to force levels rotas and responsibilities including but not limited to, SFC and POPS. Experience in this space would be desirable.

Application forms will require evidence against the College of Policing Competency and Values Framework, 2024 -Level 3 and examples should be taken from recent PDRs.

- You should not currently be under a formal investigation for conduct.

Police Barred and Advisory lists
Individuals placed on the Police Barred and Advisory lists will not be considered for employment by the police for a minimum of 5 years from the date of listing in the case of gross misconduct, or 3 years from the date of listing in the case of poor performance.

Eligibility Criteria
All Applicants must reside in the UK and have continuous residency for the past three years, rising to five years for certain roles. (The only exceptions are being stationed abroad through the Armed Forces or having taken extended holiday / travelled for a period of less than 12 months, where your UK residency has been maintained) Please refer to the job description for the residency requirements for this role.
