In this role you will lead the ongoing development of a Case Management Service that specifically contributes to delivering early help, preventative support and problem solving interventions for adults, children families and communities in partnership with key local and regional agencies.

Representing Greater Manchester Police at adult child and family conferences and meetings you will negotiate and take actions and decisions on appropriate interventions to safeguard and improve the wellbeing of individuals and communities.

You will review and analyse research from GMP and partner agencies in order to take decisions on the immediate and ongoing needs of adults, children families and communities , ensuring that relevant intelligence is shared within GMP and with partner agencies.

Along with supporting the District and Integrated Multi – agency Management Teams in matters relating to the delivery of a highly effective, integrated , multi –agency service and the achievement of wider partnership working goals, you will provide the day- to –day management of activities and resources relating to the provision of a case management service within the legislative and policy guidelines and to agreed standards and deadlines.

As a Case Management Lead you will need the ability to assess complex problems and situations and make an accurate assessment of risk to be able to take intelligent decisions, act upon concerns and make recommendations to achieve outcomes that meet the expectations of GMP , partner agencies and service users.

You will develop and actively manage productive, professional relationships with internal and external partners and colleagues, ensuring that actions and outcomes are achieved by taking a lead role in meetings, conferences and partnership initiatives or projects and being able to make high quality decisions based on complex and conflicting information from a number of sources.

You will need to be up to date in respect of relevant legislation, trends, regulations and policy in relation to the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults in order to ensure that all service planning , training and delivery takes these into account.

You will work with complex and confidential information systems and will need to have the ability to design reports, procedures and processes around them, producing formal , accurate and concise written work.
