Both internal and external applications are invited for a role within the Referral Unit which sits within the Public Protection Unit at Cumbria Police Headquarters. The team is made up of twelve staff members and two supervisors.

The role is based at Penrith Police Headquarters although some home working is possible once training is complete, due to operational requirements the working days would be Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

The role involves:
.
Use of Police and multi-agency information systems
Risk assessment and decision making in relation to Police safeguarding reports
Presentation of cases to Adult social care at the daily Vulnerable Adult triage
.
Previous experience of working in a safeguarding environment alongside other partner agencies is essential and experience of working with Cumbria Constabulary IT systems and/or Cumbria County Council safeguarding IT Systems is desirable.
