Business Development Manager - Police Staff

Job Title: Business Development Manager

Permanent

Hours: 37 per week

Part time/flexible working options will be considered

Salary range: £50,949 to £55,944 per annum (pro-rata if part time) 

Based at: Phoenix House, Mansfield but working at a variety of locations across the force.

Main Purpose of Role

This is a management role that requires co-ordination of information from each of the areas of Criminal Justice; awareness of national developments; planning, delivery and reporting of key areas of business in support of the Force.

The role will assist the Force with identifying and implementing efficient, effective and reasoned performance and change management, utilising a variety of improvement tools and techniques drawn from industry recognised methodologies, focusing on increasing efficiencies and business benefits.

The role requires thinking strategically, to identify better ways to deliver effective, value for money services that support the residents of Nottinghamshire to improve the service given to victims and witnesses of crime and safeguards suspects going through the custody process.

Key Skills & Experience Required

Excellent communication skills including the ability to produce written/graphical reports and to present to groups of senior managers and partners.

The ability to manage and organise workload both for self and team, in order to achieve deadlines and results.

The ability to influence colleagues and partners within own department, forces and other organisations.

Knowledge and/or experience of Prince 2 methodology and change management principles.

Skills and Abilities

The experience of managing a performance regime including quality assurance in a complex operational arena. 

The ability to provide business support through coordinating, business planning including business continuity, health and safety, performance and quality assurance and training requirements.

The ability to work effectively with business partners and strategic partners.

The ability to manage people.
