Location: Northallerton/Thirsk/Tadcaster.

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week – Flexible working may be considered.

Salary: Scale 3 - £25,242 - £26,703

The Opportunity

We are looking to appoint a committed and hardworking person to oversee the administrative functions which support our covert policing teams in North Yorkshire.

The Covert Services department undertake a vital role in supporting investigations into Serious and Organised Crime throughout North Yorkshire. In this role, you’ll provide essential administrative support within our team, helping us deliver a trusted and efficient service.


What You’ll Do

  • Carry out administrative tasks including carrying out checks using police systems.
  • Input, search, and retrieve information using computer applications.
  • Use data to prepare accurate reports.
  • Distribute and manage correspondence effectively.
  • Draft and prepare documentation and correspondence.
  • Reconcile departmental spending.
  • Purchasing of equipment and supplies.
  • Typing of audio recorded material.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and excellent IT skills.
  • Experience working in a secure and confidential environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • The post holder must hold a valid UK driving licence.
