Introduction
We are seeking a highly skilled and committed Principal Counter Terrorism Security Advisor (CTSA) to lead and develop our Protect Team. This team plays a critical role in delivering the Protect strand of the Governments CONTEST strategy, which aims to strengthen security measures and reduce vulnerability to terrorist threats.
Role Specifics
Manage, support, and develop a team of CTSAs, Awareness Advisors (CTAAs), and Administrators.
Ensure professional standards, performance management, and quality assurance across the team.
Facilitate staff in achieving accredited CTSA status.
Support the regional Protect and Prepare lead in supervision and strategic direction across the Northwest region.
This is a leadership role requiring strong operational knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence and collaborate with partners at all levels.
Key Responsibilities
Provide counter terrorism security advice for crowded places and hazardous sites.
Advise on securing dangerous substances, including explosives, chemicals, pathogens, and radiological materials.
Support the National Protective Security Authority (NPSA) in protecting Critical National Infrastructure.
Offer guidance on personal security for vulnerable individuals.
Drive continuous improvement and resilience within the Protect Team.
