The Cheshire Contribution initiative invites people seeking asylum to actively contribute to the communities they temporarily call home, while enabling those communities to see and celebrate that contribution first-hand. By scaling up this successful pilot, you’ll play a key role in fostering social cohesion, improving local environments, and building meaningful connections across Cheshire.
About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and organised Community Contribution Co-ordinator to lead the countywide rollout of the Cheshire Contribution initiative. This programme builds on pilot projects that have revitalised green open spaces across Cheshire, creating opportunities for collaboration and community engagement through volunteering and co-design.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the Cheshire Contribution programme, ensuring efficient processes and successful on-site delivery of events.
- Develop an operational guide including checklists, safety protocols, risk assessments, and inductions.
- Plan, deliver, and co-ordinate events, including marketing materials to attract stakeholders, local communities, and volunteers.
- Recruit volunteers and local residents, identify trusted local hosts, and maintain ongoing liaison throughout projects.
- Work with partners such as local authorities and public bodies to co-create projects in high-impact, high-visibility locations.
