Victim Callbacks Volunteer 2026
Cleveland Police is seeking committed individuals who can spare a few hours a week to volunteer their services as Victim Callbacks Volunteer based in our Force Control Room at Cleveland Police Central Headquarters, Hemlington.Our Victim Callbacks Volunteers contact victims of crime to provide advice, support and evaluate satisfaction with the service received from Cleveland Police.
Applicants should have good communication skills, strong emotional awareness and be confident communicating over the phone.
When one of our current volunteers, Hilary, was asked why she gives up her time to volunteer, she said ‘I find the role very interesting – hearing things from the victims’ perspective means not only can we inform them of the latest proceedings, they can let us know of their experiences. I couldn’t be an officer, but it’s nice to give back in my own way.’
