Location: Cleveland Police – Force wide - (Hartlepool, Stockton-on-Tees, Middlesbrough, Redcar and Cleveland)Salary: £53,568 - £56,208 - In line with national pay scales
THIS VACANCY IS FOR OFFICERS FROM FORCES OUTSIDE OF CLEVELAND POLICE ONLY
Cleveland Police are embarking on a process to select officers wishing to become Sergeants. The Force will be seeking applications from suitably qualified substantive Constables seeking promotion to the next rank, coming from a Home Office force.

Key Dates:
Familiarisation Event: 7th January 2026, 10am at CPHQ, Hemlington. Chief Constable Victoria Fuller and Superintendent Paul Allen will offer insight into what it means to be a Sergeant, what to expect from the process and what Cleveland Police expects from applicants.
Application Deadline: Tuesday 27th January 2026 at 10am.
Interviews: Week commencing 2nd March 2025 with an expectation to run over three to four weeks. (dates subject to change)
