Counter Terrorism Policing North West (CTPNW) is a five-force collaboration delivering Counter Terrorism (CT) services to our regional forces as well as forming part of the national CT Network. CTPNW’s mission is to work together to keep people safe from terrorism.

We are looking for a committed and outstanding individual who can support CTPNW in achieving its mission.

A Prevent Case Officer plays a crucial role in safeguarding vulnerable individuals from radicalisation and supporting them in moving away from extremist views. Key responsibilities include:

• Case Management: Assessing referrals and managing cases to ensure appropriate support is provided.
• Engagement: Building relationships with community members and partners to promote Prevent initiatives.
• Collaboration: Working with local authorities, schools, and other organisations to create a comprehensive approach to preventing radicalization.
• Support: Providing guidance and resources to individuals at risk, ensuring they receive the necessary support.

2. Provide an example to demonstrate you have experience of working in partnership with communities around sensitive issues.

3. Provide an example to demonstrate when you have contributed towards the implementation of a new working practice to make it a success.
