Salary: A7: £64,619
Flexible working – remote working with one working day per week at the office.
An exciting opportunity has arisen in Hertfordshire’s Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) for a Senior Policy Advisor to join a high performing team on a 12-month fixed term contract. Under the leadership of PCC Jonathan Ash-Edwards we are pushing forward his key priorities to prevent crime and harm through early intervention; tackle high impact crimes through a hyper-local focus; and relentlessly pursue prolific offenders.
The successful candidate will be at the heart of policy making and responsible for advising the Commissioner on policy matters and to manage, support and coordinate the delivery of policy and engagement activities with national and regional focus as outlined in the Police and Crime Plan. The successful candidate will be instrumental in advising the PCC and senior management team on national policy matters.
This is a unique chance to join the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) at a pivotal transitional phase. It is therefore essential that the successful candidate demonstrates outstanding networking abilities, with proven expertise in relationship building and negotiation, alongside experience of working effectively with government departments, current police governance structures, and associated partners.
