HR Advisor
We have an exciting development opportunity for a Human Resources Advisor to join our HR team on a fixed term contract for 12 months to cover a period of maternity leave from April 2026.
The role will require you to deliver a professional HR Service within a policing environment with precision and passion, in which you will be supported, whilst working as part of a proactive and friendly HR team. You will provide clear, consistent and outcome focussed advice, guidance, support and coaching to managers on a comprehensive range of HR activities, in line with agreed policies and procedures, best practice, professional standards, and legal requirements.
MINUMUM CRITERIA FOR THE ROLE:
- Educated to CIPD level 5 (Associate Member) or able to demonstrate equivalent, relevant professional knowledge.
- Evidence of CPD commensurate with Associate level.
- Excellent working knowledge of employment law and key HR policies and procedures, and be able to demonstrate application of this knowledge, together with evidence of CPD commensurate with Associate level.
- Significant previous experience within a HR function.
- Experience in the collation, analysis and evaluation of people data and information.
- Good grounding in and working knowledge of HR process, policies and employment law.
- Understanding of internal information sources, systems and processes.
- Experience of research to provide robust proposals for improvement and/or change.
