Detective Superintendent Promotion Process - Joint MIT' (Transfer on Promotion and Level Transfer)
Norfolk Constabulary is seeking dynamic, values-driven leaders to join our team as a Superintendent. Our Chief Constable is seeking to appoint a Detective Superintendent as Head of the Joint Major Investigation Team (Collaborated post with Suffolk Constabulary). The post holder will be a Norfolk Officer working in the joint space to support both Chief Constables to deliver the vision and mission of both constabularies. With responsibility for major crime in both counties there is an expectation that the successful candidate will travel between offices in both Norfolk and Suffolk.This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of policing in a force committed to excellence, innovation, and community trust.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the role of Detective Superintendent JMIT, candidates must meet the following conditions:
Current substantive Chief Inspector seeking promotion or substantive Superintendent seeking level transfer.
Is not currently under a formal stage for UPP.
Is not currently under a formal investigation for conduct.
Skills and Experience
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:
Operational competence and leadership.
Evidence of discretionary effort and commitment to development.
Relevant experience as an accredited SIO, with experience of management of Homicide and major crime investigations.
Relevant experience as a K&E Crime in Action SIO
Accredited PIP 4 or ability to work towards being so.
DVI SIM trained or ability to work towards being so.
