CHIEF INSPECTOR (OPS) – PURSUE AND PREVENT
An exciting opportunity has arisen for officers to apply for the below role within the Joint Firearms Unit: -
Chief Inspector – Pursue and Prevent – following agreement at the JFU Oversight Governance Board, applications are invited from substantive Chief Inspectors (SWP and GWP officers) and qualified Inspectors with temporary Chief Inspector experience (DPP officers) who, if successful, will be substantively promoted to Chief Insp.
All applicants: -
• Must be an experienced accredited Tactical Firearms Commander (TFC, both spontaneous and pre-planned). (E)
• Must either be an existing ‘Specialist’ accredited TFC or be experienced and competent enough to be working toward achieving this accreditation within reasonable timescales.
Applications are requested to be submitted by 12pm on Thursday 11th December, answering the below questions: -
Area 1: Please outline the skills and experience of creating an environment where collaborative working provides effective service delivery internally, across all three forces and the community?
Area 2: Provide evidence of creating effective teams, within a supportive organisational culture, that recognises and values diversity and well-being and challenges intolerance, role modelling high ethical standards.
Area 3: Please provide an example of when you have had to make a difficult operational decision and give direction under pressure, what did you do, how did you deal with it, what was the outcome and how did you capture and feedback any organisational learning?
Please confine the application to no more than 250 words per question.
