The North West Regional Organised Crime Unit is a collaborative multi agency covert response to tackle serious and organised crime across the North West Region. 

 

This is a unique opportunity to assist in forging the future of Data Assurance Records & Product Management in the North West Regional Crime Unit. 

  

The successful applicant will foster strong organisational and planning skills, with good attention to detail whilst building developing and maintaining strong working relationships across the organisation at all levels.  

  

The applicant must be familiar with police case management systems and utilise versatility with the workforce from our 6 North West forces.  

Candidates will be comfortable working with ambiguity, weighing up options in complex data protection and data sharing scenarios and making effective recommendations and decisions based on sound judgement  

which will contribute to our outstanding grading from His Majesty's Inspectorate Of Constabulary. 

  

Detailed understanding of policies and procedures in relation to Information Assurance are essential, as well as being committed to developing the knowledge and understanding of other in this arena. 

  

With working hours of 08:00-16:00 Monday to Friday the post holder may be offered flexibility in working hours and/or location providing the business needs are met.

 

The NWROCU leads the policing response across the region posed by serious and organised crime in Cumbria, Lancashire, Merseyside, Cheshire, Greater Manchester and North Wales.  The NWROCU provides the vital link from national capabilities and expertise to local policing and knowledge, enabling the North West region to deliver the Government’s serious and organised Crime strategy and to protect communities from harm. 

 

The post is subject to an initial secondment of two years reviewable based on continuous funding and performance. 

 

Further developments in NWROCU’s capabilities are anticipated in the future. Applications received for Operational roles that require mandatory Officer Safety/First Aid training must hold valid in date training or able to undertake upon application. 

 

The Grade of this role has been determined using the Merseyside HAY procedure and has been afforded a Merseyside Grade E. This equates to a salary range of £33,603 – £39,276. Successful applicants from other Regional Forces will be paid a salary within this pay range.  These are full time roles working ‘flexitime’ however, applicants must be aware that there is a requirement for the post holders to be flexible in relation to working hours.

Successful applicants working within NWROCU will be subject to NCA clearance, MV (Management Vetting) and SC (Security Clearance) prior to taking up post.
