Lancashire Constabulary is looking for a Pensions Administrator to join our team. 

The purpose of this role is to Support the Pensions officer with general administration, monitoring the inbox and dealing with general pension queries. You will be liaising with Lancashire Pension Partnership Administration (LPPA) to support the pension officers in updating and chasing outstanding cases and supporting the Pension Officer with the implementation and administration of pension remedy.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • To process all aspects of pensions and associated processes ensuring compliance with legislation
  • To provide accurate pay data in relation to pensions for leavers, estimates and repayments of pensions
  • Deal with and calculate complex pension queries
  • Administrate third party payments ensuring records are kept up to date i.e. AVC Wise
  • Deal with internal and external enquiries by telephone, correspondence or personal contact and to liaise with divisions and departments, staff associations and external organisations as required
  • To ensure processes and payments are compliant with Statutory legislation, contractual entitlements, constabulary policies, police regulations, police staff conditions of service and pension regulations

Skills and Experience: 

  • CIPP Level 3 certificate is desirable
  • Knowledge / Experience of police and LGPS Pension Systems is desirable  

Vetting and Medical:

Please be aware, as a condition of your appointment you must undergo and pass Recruitment Vetting (RV). Please be aware there is a minimum 3 year UK residency requirement for Recruitment vetting and you must be 18 years old at the point of applying. Successful applicants will also be subject to a medical assessment.
