- MM/ Transferee Intake March 2026
Lancashire Constabulary is now welcoming applications for the March 2026 Transferee Intake, Start Date: Monday 30th March 2026
Applications are invited from current serving police officers, both uniform and detective, up to the rank of Inspector to transfer to Lancashire Constabulary.

Eligibility:
- Applicants must be a current serving Police Officer, between the rank of Constable and Inspector.
- Officers must have completed their 2 year probationary period with their current force
- Candidates must hold a full valid UK Manual driving licence
Please note, Lancashire Constabulary do accept applications from officers from Non-Home Office Forces but the eligibility criteria does differ. Application:
Should you meet the above eligibility criteria, you can complete the application form. The application does not consist of any scored questions, but instead it is for us to learn a little bit more about you and your skills and experience.
Within the application form you will be required to complete details about your current force, role, rank, specialisms and skills. You will also be asked where in Lancashire you would like to be posted should you be successful.
Please note, Transferee officers will be offered a like for like post with Lancashire and officers cannot transfer in on promotion or into a role that they have not completed before.
Applications for the March 2026 intake will close on MONDAY 24TH NOVEMBER 2025 AT 23:55PM
Interview:
Following the application, officers will be invited to attend an interview. Interviews will be offered in person at Hutton Headquarters or via MS Teams. Interview dates will take place the W/C Monday 8th December and W/C Monday 15th December 2026.
You will be notified of your interview result via the Transferee Recruitment Team.
Pre-employment Checks:
Your Conditional offer of employment with Lancashire Constabulary will be subject to a range of pre-employment checks.
- Vetting
- Acceptable level of attendance
- Medical appointment
- Fitness test – to a 5.4 on a bleep test
- Acceptable Tattoos (Images of all tattoos will be required during the application form)
Vetting
You will undergo a vetting process by the Lancashire Constabulary vetting team. To meet vetting requirements, you must have resided in the UK for at least three continuous years.
Medical appointment
You will be required to attend a medical appointment at Lancashire Constabulary Hutton Headquarters with the Force Medical Advisor who will determine whether you are fit for appointment. Medical appointments will be available from Monday 5th January - Monday 26th January 2026.
Fitness
You must either attend a fitness test at Lancashire Constabulary and complete a bleep test to at least 5.4, or should you be in ticket by at least 6 months with your current force to at least a 5.4 on the bleep test, you are able to transfer this across to Lancashire Constabulary.
Final Offer:
Once all pre-employment checks have been cleared, you will be provided with a formal offer of employment. Your posting will be confirmed in your formal offer letter.
You will then start with Lancashire Constabulary on Monday 30th March 2026.
