If so, we invite you to apply for the role of Quality & Compliance Manager with the Yorkshire and the Humber Regional Scientific Support Services (RSSS).

About the Role:

As the Quality and Compliance Manager, you will lead the development and delivery of a strategic, proportionate approach to the regulation of forensic science activities across RSSS and West Yorkshire Police/Regional Organised Crime Unit Digital Forensics Unit. You will be the subject matter expert on regulatory compliance, quality management systems, and accreditation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the department Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance across services, suppliers, audits, and complaints.
• Provide expert advice to senior leadership on regulatory matters, compliance risks, and new standards.
• Liaise with external bodies including the Office of the Forensic Science Regulator, UKAS and national policing groups.
• Direct and support a team of Accreditation Officers and quality representatives across the organisation.
• Influence national policy and practice through participation in working groups and strategic forums.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience managing a QMS and achieving regulatory compliance to ISO standards, preferable 1700 series.
• Strong leadership and project management skills across multi-disciplinary teams.
• Strategic understanding of regulation and the ability to implement innovative solutions.
• Experience as an assessor/auditor in a multi-site organisation.
• A relevant degree or equivalent experience in a regulated field.
• Willingness to travel regionally and nationally, with access to a vehicle for business use.
