Records Manager (Grade J) Information Management & Data Directorate (IMDD)
GMP’s Information Management and Data Directorate (IMDD) is looking to recruit an experienced and proficient records management practitioner in this newly created role of Records Manager. This exciting role will be responsible for providing supportive and authoritative records management advice across GMP, leading on the development of a robust records management service which supports the organisation in its creation and retention of records whilst adhering to sector-specific best practice and legislative frameworks.
The post holder will serve as the organisation’s records management expert, heading the newly created records management function, and will manage the Force Archivist and Records Management Administration Assistants. This unique and varied role will provide an already experienced and knowledgeable records management specialist the opportunity to develop their existing skills within the fast-paced and highly rewarding policing environment.
The post holder will be an integral part of the IMDD’s senior leadership team, helping the Head of IMDD to shape and embed the records management function and wider set of information management disciplines across the organisation. This is an important leadership role requiring regular and positive collaboration with all business areas within GMP.
