Judicial Processing and Support Assistant, ACoM (Grade B) - Full Time
You will perform the Judicial Processing Support Assistant role as part of a cluster based Criminal Justice team.
Criminal justice is a core function of policing and the corner stone for achieving fair prosecutions; the quality of files significantly affects our partner agencies and plays a vital role in the service that we provide to the public. If we fail in our preparation of a prosecution file, we will not get the outcomes that our victims deserve and it undermines all the investigative work that was done up to that point.
Each Cluster will have a team of Judicial Processing Support Assistants located at a central CJ Hub working as part of a team performing all aspects of CJ work including file check/build, bail management, typing/admin and witness care.
We are looking for people who have experience of working in the Criminal Justice field, ideally with knowledge and experience of files. You must have good administrative skills, and able to demonstrate effective communication and IT skills.
You will be expected to administer and track Postal Requisitions and Summonses generated by officers, and provide administrative support to operational staff in file build and case progression.
Due to the Equality Act (2010) the sickness absence will not be checked until the conditional offer stage of the recruitment process and therefore candidates need to ensure that they have a good attendance record for the last 2 years.
Greater Manchester Police is committed to achieving an inclusive and diverse workforce reflective of the communities we serve and would welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds.
