Salary: The starting salary is £38,926, which includes allowances totalling £2,928.
The salary is broken down as £35,998 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £38,523. Plus, a location allowance of £1,928 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.

Job Description
As a member of the Local Support Services Building Management team CTPHQ, this role provides locally based hands-on support to the delivery of FM and property related services at CTOC (ESB). This role is important in maintaining an exemplary service to senior officers, staff and Partners in the most significant, operationally critical and highly sensitive building.
Reporting to the CTOC Building Manager, this role is based in CTOC supporting the delivery of all soft and hard FM services; working closely with operational police officers, Staff and Partners; monitoring compliance with all relevant Health & Safety (H&S) and related regulation; helping to improve utilisation and working practices through monitoring the adoption of ‘smarter working’; utilisation and providing onsite support for all people moves and related activities.
This role will be expected to work collaboratively across multiple FM, Supplier and customer groups.
Key Skills
Under the direction of a the CTOC Building Manager, deliver building, infrastructure and occupancy related services for CTOC
Build and maintain positive relationships with all occupying units, including:
- Work closely with all occupying units, developing relationships at appropriate levels
- Maintain a visible presence throughout the building at all times
- Support as required on all building and infrastructure related issues, providing users with confidence in the effective running of those buildings
Support the planning, preparation and execution of moves as required, including but not limited to:
- Carry out targeted utilisation and locker surveys to inform desk assignments, workplace design and move planning
- Assist in the audit of existing storage and other facilities
- Support completion and delivery of change requests approved by Estates Board.
- Act as one of the CTOC change gatekeepers
- Support the moving units in planning and preparing for the move day
- Work with other MPS/Partner groups (e.g. DDAT) to help put in place a comprehensive move plan that covers all relevant equipment and technology
- Support recycling, shredding and waste disposal
- Manage the provision of move related logistics, such as crates and the move process itself
- Assist with the preparation of the receiving site, as required
- Manage the clearing and tidying of emptied workplaces
- Where required and under management direction, organise and co-ordinate the involvement of the supply chain to support relocation activity
Support building management and FM services delivered on site, including:
- Support the provision of hard and soft FM services to ensure effective building maintenance, working with FM colleagues, the FM Integrator and supply chain as appropriate and maintenance contractors.
- Follow the booking process for maintenance contractors, adhering to security requirements.
- Give particular focus to ‘front of house’ services such as parking management and shared area cleanliness / quality to ensure CTOC gives a world class and professional impression to all occupiers and visitors
- Support planned preventative maintenance programmes as required, including planned shutdowns of service and infrastructure
- Inform occupiers of the reporting procedures for building and infrastructure faults
- Give service or maintenance issues prompt attention, resolving them within agreed timescales
- Support the implementation of any estate wide FM strategies and policies
- Support the implementation of building related security changes and new solutions
- Maintain a flexible and mobile approach, proactively taking responsibility for assigned tasks as required by the CTOC Building Manager
Contribute to Health & Safety and regulatory compliance, including:
- Complete daily safety tours and periodic inspections and report using agreed templates, covering all regulatory requirements according to a given schedule
- Support the inspection activities of specialist inspectors in H&S and other disciplines, e.g. water, waste, fire, electrical
- Monitor H&S and environmental management systems, working closely with occupiers as required
- Follow CTOC and MPS procedures related to H&S, ensuring regulatory compliance at all times
- Facilitate and support an annual fire evacuation
- Monitor all works for the correct H&S arrangements and report exceptions
- Contribute to achieving relevant H&S and environmental management and performance standards
- Keep the CTOC Building Manager informed of progress and issues at all times.
Vetting
This post requires access to the most sensitive intelligence material on a daily basis. Applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo National Security Vetting (NSV) Developed Vetting (DV) level before taking up the post.
This post requires British nationality (some dual nationals may be ineligible) and an Enhanced Security Check (eSC)/Developed Vetting (DV) clearance.
