Job Title: Lead Business Analyst - Technology - Counter Terrorism Policing HQ
Salary: The starting salary is £68,295, which includes allowances totalling £2,928.
The salary is broken down as £65,367 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £70,012. Plus, a location allowance of £1,928 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.

Job Summary
At Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP) our purpose is clear – to keep people safe from terrorism. To do this we are constantly evolving, developing new and innovative ways to counter the ever-shifting terrorist threat.
At CTP we are looking to recruit into three Senior Specialist roles: Senior User Research, Business Case Management, and Senior Business Analysis. Within your specialist field you'll manage the incoming technology demands, so that CTP business challenges can be understood, developed and overcome. You will work closely with your team providing expert advice and guidance to ensure artefacts are managed, implemented to a high quality and deliver the greatest value.
In the Senior User Researcher discipline you will lead colleagues in their plans for undertaking user research. You will ensure your team adopt the right analysis and synthesis techniques as well as continually assure, improve and innovate practices to provide clear and valuable findings.
In the Business Case Manager discipline, you will be responsible for assuring Business Case production throughout the Business Case Lifecycle, ensuring they result in projects being successfully commissioned and delivered into a supported service. You will use the Government Green Book 5 case model and be responsible for quality assuring content. You will ensure business cases have had the right level of consultation and ensure papers are on track to reach Governance Boards.
In the Senior Business Analysis discipline, you will ensure proposed solutions align with business goals and objectives, whilst achieving the required outcomes and expected benefits. You will do this by ensuring your team of business analysts apply effective business analysis skillsets within the project delivery lifecycle.
Your background must include leading a team(s) / staff management, experience in user research, business case production or business analysis in delivery. You must have a high degree of written communication skills and be able to develop a range of documentation formats to provide information in a manner suitable for the target audience. Managing multiple concurrent projects should not phase you.
Vetting
Applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo Counter Terrorism Check (CTC) level before taking up the post.
All appointments are subject to the post holder satisfying the required level of security clearance at the time of appointment and for the duration of the attachment agreement. Failure to achieve such clearance or removal of such clearance will result in the termination of employment. This does not affect your statutory right.
This post requires access to the most sensitive intelligence material daily. Applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo National Security Vetting (NSV) Developed Vetting (DV) level before taking up the post.
This post requires British nationality (some dual nationals may be ineligible) and an Enhanced Security Check (eSC)/Developed Vetting (DV)] clearance.
As the post holder will have access to very sensitive information, there are limitations on travelling to a small number of countries and we will undertake additional security checks as part of the recruitment process.
