Location: Southern Support and Training HQ, Netley
Salary: Scale 6, £32,247.00 - £34,329.00
Hours: Full time - 37 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Closing Date: Sunday 2nd November 2025 at 23:59 hours
The successful candidate will be responsible to install, maintain and repair Airwave and Communication devices to support the operational requirements of the force.
Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
1. The management, programming and repair of all operational communication equipment (Handheld and Vehicle), including Airwave, Covert, Inca, Mobile Phone and other devices.
2. Regular external communication with service providers and suppliers regarding equipment management & Airwave service provision.
3. Regular internal communication with OCU’s/Departments.
4. To assist with development of the communication systems and their use within the force.
5. Monitor, assess and investigate coverage related issues.
Please, note: the role holder may be required to visit various locations within Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, and must hold a current full driver's licence and be prepared to take and pass a Force driving course if required.

Educated to QCF Level 3 (2-3 passes) OR work experience deemed to have brought the postholder to a comparable level.
Work experience in a radio telecommunications role, including experience of fitting and repairing a range of radio equipment.
