Job Title: Life Events Delivery Manager – Workplace Adjustments

Salary: The starting salary is £47,060, which includes allowances totalling £2,928.

The salary is broken down as £44,132 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £52,652 Plus, a location allowance of £1,928 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.

Location: Kilburn

 

The Role

Working for the Met doesn’t have to mean patrolling the streets. Just as important as our uniformed officers is our 14,000-strong team of professional and support staff working behind the scenes.

We are looking for a Life Events Delivery Manager to lead on the delivery of workplace adjustments and dyslexia assessments across the Met. This is a key role in ensuring that our colleagues with disabilities and neurodivergent conditions receive the right support, enabling them to thrive at work.

You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management of workplace adjustments, liaising with colleagues and external providers, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements. You’ll also oversee the internal dyslexia assessment process, helping us to provide a consistent, supportive, and legally compliant service.

What you’ll do

  • Lead the delivery of workplace adjustments to ensure consistency, accessibility, and timely support.
  • Manage the internal dyslexia assessment service, including monitoring engagement and compliance.
  • Work with stakeholders across HR, Health & Safety, DDaT and external partners to maintain strong relationships and improve service delivery.
  • Promote awareness of the workplace adjustments process through clear communication and engagement activities.
  • Use data and employee feedback to evaluate services and drive continuous improvement.
  • Oversee recovery of funding for Access to Work claims.
  • Influence policy and practices aligned with current legislation and best practice
