Detective Constable entry route

Durham Constabulary’s detective constable recruitment process has commenced, and application forms will now be accepted.

We are looking to recruit for our March 2026 DC-DHEP course.

We are open for the following route:

Direct entry - Detective Constable - Degree Holder Entry Programme (DC-DHEP)

Closing date for applications is Friday 17 October at 5pm.

In order to help you make the decision if becoming a detective is right for you we are holding a Detective Discovery Event over Microsoft Teams on Monday 13 October 6-7pm
