NPAS XP323 Ground Infrastructure Coordinator **External**

THIS VACANCY IS BEING ADVERTISED EXTERNALLY

NPAS Ground Infrastructure Co-ordinator
NPAS HQ Wakefield, based with the opportunity to work on an agile basis.
One fixed term post for a period of 12 months

We are looking for a highly-motivated person with great organisational skills to join us as a Ground Infrastructure Co-ordinator.
Whilst everyone sees our helicopters and aeroplanes in the skies over England and Wales, working for the National Police Air Service (NPAS) involves so much more than flying.
We wouldn’t be able to support police forces in finding missing people, tracking down suspects and securing vital evidence, if it wasn’t for our highly valued HQ teams who ensure that we have everything in place on the ground to operate safely and successfully in the air.
At NPAS we pride ourselves as being one team, working together, in the air and on the ground, to keep our communities safer.
What could be more rewarding than that?

Key responsibilities of our Ground Infrastructure Coordinator:
In this role, you will assist and deputise for our Head of Ground Infrastructure, managing, delivering and advising on all matters that relate to Ground Operations and Estate and Infrastructure Management, including the development and implementation of new working practices. In addition, you will be required to deliver facilities management functions, capital build projects and small works.

To be successful in the role, our Ground Infrastructure Coordinator must:
• Establish effective communication networks involving suppliers, police forces, internal customers and policy makers, encouraging collaborative arrangements to ensure cost-effective services. This includes managing contractor performance in line with contract specifications.
• Co-ordinate NPAS estate assets and capital projects, including design criteria outputs which are efficient, economic and comply with financial constraints, European Procurement and legislative requirements, the Civil Aviation Authority, EASA, ICAO legislation and ACoP’s.
• Assist with the administration of the estate revenue and capital budgets; develop and coordinate budget estimates, financial forecasts and manage expenditure.
• Manage, coordinate and develop Project Management functions, including energy and environmentally-sustainable practices, to ensure the provision of an efficient and effective service. Working towards unified arrangements, it is important to ensure compliance with the appropriate policies, procedure and legislation, in support of the departmental business plan.

This is a unique and rewarding role in a specialist policing organisation which promises the opportunity to work as part of a great team, making a real difference to lives and communities across England and Wales, 24/7.

Any questions regarding the role should be directed to Kristy Kinghorn, kristy.kinghorn@npas.police.uk
This post is suitable for job share. The application process will close at 23:55 hours on the 12th October 2025.
